Operations Manager

  • Location: Calderdale (Hybrid considered)
  • Salary: £30,000 – £32,000
  • Hours per, week: 37
  • Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2029

We are interested in driven, passionate individuals who have a desire to manage an effective advice service for those most in need.  We are seeking an innovative, forward-thinking individual who will continually drive change to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our advice service.

As Operations Manager, you will have a pivotal role in managing the operations, standards, and compliance of Citizens Advice Calderdale. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing our generalist and specialist advice service, ensuring the maintenance of high-quality advice that aligns with Citizens Advice standards.  In close collaboration with our Chief Officer, you will contribute to the development and execution of our Business Plan. This position will involve deputizing at internal and external meetings with partners and various stakeholders.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, an ability to manage individuals and teams, supporting personal development and the management skills to create a positive working environment.

Your role will involve client-facing tasks, as well as routine administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of our organization.

  • Location:  Calderdale (hybrid considered)
  • Salary:  £23,500-£26,000 depending on experience (pro rata)
  • Hours:    2 roles – 37 per week & 30 per week
  • Contract:   fixed term until 1/1/2027

Purpose of the post

As a caseworker you will provide clients with advice and assistance across a range of welfare benefits, debts, energy and other general advice themes. This includes managing a caseload and assisting with the completion of various forms.
